As part of trying to spread a lighter weight style of hiking here in Australia I have made an arrangement with a US based cottage manufacturer to sell his light weight stoves here. End2End Trail Supply’s owner George Carr has been perfecting light weight alcohol stoves for many years and am very pleased to be working with him, these stoves are great. Bibbulmun Track - Board Membership

Some very exciting news for me. Last night I was voted in as a board member for the Bibbulmun Track.

Shapcott Hut - Coastal Plains Trail

Hi All,

 

You may recall that back in early 2009 Shapcott Hut on the coastal plains trail was destroyed by fire. Since then I have sent regular emails to the national park and DEC to establish when it would be rebuild.

 

Notification today came that they are going to be building a rammed earth replacement and expect that to be completed within 6 months.

 

Will keep you informed.
